So, for St-Jean Baptiste Day (Quebec National day) i ended up going up to the Mile End (a hip area of Montréal) to visit a friend with a Mauratian restaurant to have a wondereful tea and hibuscus juice... on the side walk... with desert music and winds... and then headed up another block wher the community layered squares of grass on the sidewalk and street and had picnics and drinks on the concrete park... I just couldn't resist the templation of getting some Montreal Bagels and opening up a beer and having my own picnic... so of course... I ventured to become one the St-Viator Mile enders... it was a ecelectic experience only to be found in Montréal. Following this I went and visited two Peruvian friends and a French (oh la la French from France friend) and after a few drinks we ventured out to Parc Maissoneuve for the big Quebec Music Concert... VIVE LE QUEBEC LIBRE!!! OK.... so not so seperatistish... but i did have my quebec and fransaskois flag and held them both high to celebrate the french culture in Canada... VIVE LE FRANCOPHONIE LIBRE! :-) that is better. It was an amazine event... .over 200 000 people, young and old celebrating together! (More people than in my home city of Saskatoon). To end of the evening, after the long walk back to the car, we stoped for a traditional Poutine meal... and i went home to rest and prepare for our dance show the next day in Lachine...

bonjour... c'est la st-jean baptiste... la journée pour celebrér la fierté francophone pour certains ou pour pouser pour la seperation pour d'autres... mais en gros c'est un journée de la musique de l'amitié et de bonheur... c'est un congé, mais je suis au travail... je vais bientot aller profiter des festivités si je les trouve... il y a des grands spectacles de musique dans le parques, un defilé et de fetes de cartiers un peu partout. demain je danse pour un festival avec un troupe de danse folklorique... reel et macadam.... ca va etre fun! bon... bonnne st-jean... buvez de la bonne biere et feter fort!
