Been a long time...
Well after weeks of non blogging.... i am taking the time again (from work) to type up some quick thoughts for the day.
The Queen, Our Queen, is in Canada. She is actually in my home province, Saskatchewan to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the province in the Confederation of Canada. Ironically enough at the same time Quebec (where I am now) seperatist movement is growing stronger... or seemingly so, and Canadian democracy and government corruption is being questioned... ahh what a world we live in.
And yes, spring is comming about in the country we all call Canada. The green replaces the brown trees and white ground and people seem happier... the patios are opened and life takes upon a new energy with the sun and warmth in the air.
TO end, a commemoration to the diversity of Montreal. On Saturday I was extatically amazed at the site of 3 large, flowered trucks with music playing loudly... portuguese tunes and a procession of young girls... it almost looked like a parade, but with only three floats... either for a wedding or a girls 15th year celebration. All this right around the corner from my place in the heart of the greek and portuguese area. Wednesday I had a delightful eveninig of Vin et Fromage with the diverse people of AIESEC UQAM... .must be over 10 countries in their LC. This was followed by a Shisha smoking night, in some hidden cave right around the corner... viva la diversidad!
